Graduate Engineering Trainee (Software Test Engineer)

Key Responsibilities
As a Graduate Engineering Trainee at
Smiths Detection, you will:
✔️ Work
with program managers and functional managers to analyze software
requirements.
✔️ Develop test cases, test plans, and
test scripts for software quality assurance (SQA).
✔️ Execute and document software test cases,
ensuring quality and reliability.
✔️ Provide technical support for field
deployments and customer upgrades.
✔️ Collaborate with cross-functional
teams to optimize testing strategies.
✔️ Mentor and support junior
engineers in the team.
✔️ Contribute to automated testing
frameworks and ensure testing best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
🎓 Educational
Background:
·
B.S. or equivalent degree in
Computer Science, IT, or related disciplines.
📊 Technical
Skills:
✅ Strong understanding of Software
Quality Assurance (SQA).
✅ 1+ years of experience in software
testing and quality assurance.
✅ Proficiency in version control
systems (GitHub, Subversion).
✅ Familiarity with bug tracking tools
(JIRA, TestRails).
✅ Expertise in Linux/Windows,
virtualization, and scripting.
✅ Knowledge of automated testing
frameworks (preferred).
📌 Soft
Skills:
·
Strong analytical and
problem-solving abilities.
·
Excellent written and oral
communication skills.
·
Ability to work independently
under tight deadlines.
·
Experience working with
cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
🚀 Additional
Preferences:

Experience with Six
