Introduction
Seagate Research Group (SRG) is offering an internship opportunity in Pune,
designed for students passionate about cutting-edge technologies in digital
storage, AI/ML, and hardware modeling. Interns will collaborate with
experienced architects and engineers to research emerging storage technologies,
contribute to new ideas, and support architecture development for proofs of
concept.

Location: Pune, India
Job Type: Internship (Full-Time)
Key Responsibilities
As a Seagate intern, you will:

Assist Seagate Research Architects in exploring
cutting-edge storage technologies.
·
Investigate innovative storage solutions for
efficient data creation, especially in AI/ML and mobility domains.
·
Explore and model hardware prototypes for
technologies like computational storage and data security.
·
Conduct research on emerging storage components,
systems, and architectures.
·
Document current and future storage technologies for
various applications.
·
Provide research intelligence to influence future
Seagate products or create reference architectures.
·
Collaborate with global subject matter experts and
create technical papers for academic and industrial applications.
About You
·
Creative, independent, and self-driven with
excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·
Passionate about working in a corporate setup while
continuing education.
·
A team player who can work effectively in a diverse
group of engineers.
·
Demonstrated ability to research and explore
functional areas in-depth.
·
Comfortable presenting ideas and research to
colleagues and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Experience
·
Graduate-level research experience with innovative
techniques in AI/ML.
·
Exposure to the storage domain and FPGA-based
systems.
·
Working knowledge of Unix-based and Windows
Operating Systems.
·
Strong ability to document and conceptualize ideas
effectively.
·
Additional plus: Exposure to computational storage
and data security concepts.
