Position Overview
As a QA Automation
Engineer at ClearTax, you’ll be an essential part of our Quality Assurance
team, helping to streamline our testing processes and ensure that our products
maintain the highest quality standards. You’ll work with cross-functional
teams, using tools such as the Karate framework and Gherkin to drive test
automation.
Key Responsibilities
·
Plan
and prioritize testing activities and procedures.
·
Coordinate
with design teams to align on verification protocols.
·
Identify
weaknesses within the software application and suggest improvements.
·
Develop
automated software testing procedures, particularly with the Karate
framework and Gherkin language.
·
Track
bugs, investigate root causes, and implement solutions.
·
Create
and troubleshoot automation scripts.
·
Prepare
and execute detailed test plans and cases, using Gherkin syntax for
readability.
·
Conduct
regression testing and monitor quality assurance metrics.
·
Review
technical specs, design docs, and assist in preparing test reports.
Requirements
·
Bachelor’s
degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related
field.
·
QA
Automation Engineering experience is preferred.
·
Proficient
in automation systems, databases, and scripting languages (Java preferred).
·
Experience
with the Karate framework and Gherkin language is highly
advantageous.
·
Strong
analytical skills and attention to detail.
·
Knowledge
of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
·
Good
communication skills, both written and verbal.
