Introduction

Lab Technicians in Maharashtra. This entry-level role offers fresh
graduates an excellent opportunity to build their career in paint formulation,
testing, and color dispersion, working with cutting-edge products and
methodologies in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Role: Junior Lab Technician
Location: Maharashtra, India
Job Type: Full-Time
Experience Level: Fresher or up to 6 months
Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Lab Technician, you will:
·
Color Dispersion: Participate in color dispersion processes,
including machine handling and accessory selection.
·
Paint Formulation: Develop knowledge of paint
formulation and testing methods as per Behr Standard Test Methods (BSTM).
·
Testing and Analysis: Perform lab tests according
to BSTM and analyze results to draw meaningful conclusions.
·
Color Theory: Understand and apply color theory, including L,
a, b values, and use spectrophotometers.
·
Data Management: Enter test data accurately, maintain records, and
prepare detailed reports.
·
Product Knowledge: Gain familiarity with Behr’s
product range, including paints, primers, and other solutions.
·
Project Drawdowns: Create up to 50 drawdowns per
shift based on project requirements.
Skills and Competencies
·
Technical Knowledge:
o
Understanding of paint formulations and color
theory.
o
Familiarity with spectrophotometers and BSTM.
·
Data Accuracy: Proficient in managing lab data and generating
reports.
·
Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills for
effective collaboration and reporting.
·
Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Excel and basic report
presentation tools.
·
Work Ethics: Ability to follow company protocols, safety
standards, and ethical guidelines.
·
Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to interact
effectively within the department.
Qualifications
·
Educational Requirement:
o
Bachelor’s degree in Science or a relevant field (B.Sc.)
·
Experience:
o
Fresher or up to 6 months of industry
experience.
o
Good communication skills are highly preferred.
