Job Description:
As a Software
Engineering Intern at Wayfair, you will be part of a diverse,
multidisciplinary team of engineers dedicated to enhancing the shopping
experience for millions of users. You’ll collaborate with teams across various
tech domains including Search & Recommendations, Supply Chain Retail Tech,
Data & ML Platforms, Marketing Technology, Infrastructure, and more. This
is a great opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to real-world projects
that drive significant impact.
Key Responsibilities:
·
Develop applications, web services, and data systems that enhance
the Wayfair shopping experience.
·
Work closely with Product, Experience Design, Analytics, and
business leaders across the organization.
·
Collaborate with your team to design, deploy, and iterate on new
experiences for Wayfair’s customers.
·
Gain exposure to best-in-class third-party and Wayfair
technologies, helping marketers and suppliers leverage them.
·
Assist in building tools, platforms, and technologies that support
Wayfair’s ecosystem.
Eligibility Criteria:
·
Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree
program in Computer Science or a related technical field.
·
Proven track record of strong academic performance.
·
Experience with full-stack and/or mobile development is a plus.
·
Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages.
·
Experience or exposure to SQL, JavaScript, Python, HTML/CSS (not
required for all teams).
·
Strong communication skills.
·
A passion for autonomy and building projects or tools
independently.
