Role Overview: Trainee - Procurement Advisory
As a
Trainee in the Procurement Advisory team, you will support client projects by
conducting research, gathering data, and preparing client deliverables. You
will receive training (both internal and external) on relevant tools and
methodologies, equipping you with the skills needed to excel in procurement
advisory. This role involves working closely with experienced professionals,
applying consulting and project management skills, and gaining hands-on
experience with client inquiries and projects.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Research & Data Analysis:

Utilize secondary research and The Hackett Group’s proprietary
tools to address client inquiries.

Analyze data to extract valuable insights, providing a
comprehensive summary of findings.

Leverage industry research tools like Hoovers, OneSource, Capital
IQ, ISM, and others to support procurement projects.
2. Client
Project Support:
·
Assist in creating high-quality client deliverables, ensuring that
turnaround times (TAT) are met.
·
Participate in advisory team calls, contributing analysis to
client inquiries.
·
Collaborate with the team to derive pertinent information and
ensure a smooth workflow.
3.
Operational Management:
·
Monitor project progress, identify capacity and skill issues, and
work on solutions.
·
Communicate effectively with the Practice Leader and team members
to address project needs.
·
Ensure early communication about potential obstacles in data
gathering or project execution.
4.
Initiatives & Development:
·
Engage in functional development activities within procurement and
advisory processes.
·
Stay updated on The Hackett Group’s published research to leverage
knowledge in client responses.
Skills & Qualifications Required
Essential
Skills:

Educational Background: Must be an MBA graduate with a
specialization in Operations, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management
from a reputed business school.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication
skills are essential for interacting with clients and team members.

procurement and supply chain management.

Microsoft Office Proficiency: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
