Key Responsibilities
As a Graduate
Engineer Trainee, you’ll have the chance to:
·
Lead and coordinate cost estimation and proposals: Work on the creation of project cost estimates,
proposals, and bidding documents, including material take-offs, Bill of
Material (BOM), and Scope of Work (SOW).
·
Engage in project activities: Interpret technical documents such as operations
sequences, building plans, and specifications to determine the necessary
equipment and system requirements.
·
Collaborate globally: Communicate and work with sales, operations teams, and
procurement departments located in different time zones to ensure timely and
accurate project delivery.
·
Assist in sales support: Respond to technical queries and collaborate with the
sales team to finalize project quotes.
·
Document project activities: Maintain detailed documentation and assist with project
turnover when estimates become orders.
·
Participate in cost reviews: Engage in technical handover meetings and review cost
estimates with the operations team for future project planning.
What You Bring
We are looking for
candidates who can bring their authentic selves to Siemens. You’ll win us over
if you have:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in engineering: Preferably with experience in Security Systems,
including competencies in Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Intrusion
systems.
·
Experience in estimating systems: Prior experience using estimating or quoting systems
will be a plus.
·
Knowledge of building codes: Familiarity with building construction processes and
the ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications.
·
Technical expertise: Knowledge of designing networked Building Security
Systems.
·
Strong communication skills: Fluency in English is essential. For candidates
supporting Quebec, fluency in French is required.
·
Adaptability and time management: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines,
and work effectively with both customers and internal teams.
