Your Role and Responsibilities
·
As a Software Developer Intern at IBM ISL, you will:
·
Product Development: Work across all phases of product
development, from design and development to testing and support
in core systems technologies.
·
Collaborate Globally: Interface with development teams, product
management, and end-users to create innovative solutions that span
global geographies.
·
Code and Implement: Analyze product requirements, design
solutions, and implement code while testing through the entire product
lifecycle.
·
Work on Diverse Technologies: Collaborate with highly skilled teams,
contributing to AI, Cloud, and Systems Software products
that enhance IBM’s industry-leading user experience.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
·
To succeed in this role, you should have:
·
Programming Skills: Proficiency in languages like C, C++,
Go-lang, Python, or Java.
·
Operating Systems Knowledge: A strong understanding of Unix/Linux
internals, data structures, and algorithms.
·
Cloud & Virtualization: Familiarity with Cloud Computing, Microservices
Architecture, Kubernetes/Docker, and virtualization
technologies.
·
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication
skills to collaborate effectively in a global team.
Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s/Master’s
Degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
·
Preferred Technical and Professional
Expertise
·
While not mandatory, the following will set you apart:
·
Cloud & Security: Experience with OpenStack, DevOps,
App Development on cloud platforms, or Security.
·
UI Frameworks: Knowledge of React JS, Bootstrap,
and other UI styling libraries.
·
Software Development: Practical experience with J2EE, Java,
JavaScript, Ansible, Databases (SQL), Node JS, etc.
·
AI/ML Knowledge: A strong understanding of AI/ML, Data
Science, NLP, and modern tools for deriving insights.
·
Performance Management: Familiarity with server performance
management, capacity planning, and performance diagnostics.
·
Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability
to contribute to team success.
