Introduction
Ciklum is hiring Junior Application Support Engineers for its teams in Chennai
and Pune. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global tech company

About the Role
As a Junior
Application Support Engineer, you will:
·
Provide first-level technical support for
application-related issues reported by end-users.
·
Monitor and maintain application performance, including routine
updates and security checks.
·
Collaborate with development teams, QA engineers, and IT staff to
troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
·
Document support processes, troubleshooting guides, and
user instructions.
·
Assist in incident management, including tracking,
reporting, and resolving issues.
Responsibilities
·
Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve application
problems or escalate to senior engineers when necessary.
·
Monitoring and Maintenance: Ensure applications run smoothly by
monitoring performance and logs, performing maintenance, and applying updates.
·
Documentation: Create and update support documentation and
user guides.
·
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to
resolve application-related issues and participate in deployment and upgrade
activities.
·
Customer Service: Communicate with end-users to understand
their issues and provide timely solutions, maintaining professionalism in all
interactions.
·
Incident Management: Assist in responding to incidents, tracking
service requests, and reporting on issue resolutions.
Requirements
·
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,
Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
·
Experience: 0-2 years in application support, technical
support, or a related role.
·
Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of application support
tools and methodologies, operating systems, databases, and basic scripting.
·
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to
troubleshoot technical issues.
·
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication
skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
·
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a
team and provide support to others.
Desirable Skills
·
Experience with SQL, cloud services, or other
relevant technologies.
·
Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management
frameworks.
