Job Role: Associate Systems Engineer
Location: Remote (Work From Home, India)
Position: Full-time, Associate Level
Purpose of Role
As an Associate
Systems Engineer, you will provide technical support to Brennan IT
clients, primarily focusing on the Microsoft product set. This includes
managing issues related to Windows Server, Active Directory, Desktop,
Exchange, Remote Desktop Services, and SCOM (System Center Operations
Manager). You will be the point of escalation for Service Desk
agents and help ensure the smooth functioning of our managed services.
Key Responsibilities
·
Technical Assistance: Provide remote technical support for issues
within the scope of work, including file and folder permissions, security
groups, and standard SCOM tasks.
·
Escalation Support: Serve as the point of escalation for
Service Desk agents, assisting with more complex issues.
·
Patch Management: Perform standard patching as per the
predefined patch management process.
·
Certificate Renewal: Manage certificate renewals and other SCOM
tasks with proper coordination.
·
Ticket Resolution: Remotely resolve tickets for managed
services and provide proactive event management.
·
Knowledge Sharing: Support team members and research
solutions to address technical issues effectively.
Skills & Competencies
To excel
in this role, you should have:
·
Technical Proficiency: Experience with Windows Server, Active
Directory, Exchange, SCOM, and Remote Desktop Services.
·
Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to self-learn, research
solutions, and address technical issues independently.
·
Collaboration & Teamwork: Proven ability to work within and across
teams, with excellent communication skills.
·
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and precision in
all tasks.
·
Client Interaction: Good knowledge of user tickets and
client environments.
·
Billable Hour Environment: Ability to work in a billable hour setting,
managing time efficiently.
·
Proactive Attitude: A "do whatever it takes" mindset,
with the ability to apply new knowledge and techniques as required.
Qualifications & Experience
·
Industry-Based Certifications: Relevant certifications in Microsoft
products or other IT domains.
·
Technical Experience: Prior experience in providing remote
technical support for managed services.
·
Knowledge of SCOM: Basic understanding of 1st Level triaging
for proactive event tickets.
·
Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and
apply new skills as needed.
