Asteria uses in-house hardware design, software development, and manufacturing

homeland security, agriculture, energy, telecommunications, and construction.
Internship Overview:
As an Embedded
Software Intern, you'll work on developing and integrating software for
drones, focusing on areas like flight control, hardware interfaces, and system
optimization. You'll gain hands-on experience across the software
development lifecycle and collaborate with hardware engineers, product
managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure the success of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
·
Assist
in the design, development, and debugging of embedded software for drone
systems.
·
Collaborate
with hardware engineers to develop software-hardware interfaces.
·
Participate
in Agile development practices throughout the software lifecycle.
·
Optimize
software performance and troubleshoot software issues.
·
Work
with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
·
Stay
updated on trends and technologies in embedded software.
Qualifications:
·
Currently
pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer
Engineering or a related field.
Desired Skills &
Characteristics:

Understanding
of embedded software development, including design, development,
testing, and debugging.
·
Familiarity
with programming in C/C++ and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
·
Knowledge
of communication protocols like UART, CAN, USB, I2C, and SPI.
·
Enthusiasm
for learning and working with Linux-based embedded systems.
·
Strong
verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to Have:
·
Experience
with Python or Lua scripting.
·
Familiarity
with version control systems like Git.

Knowledge
of Linux kernel and driver development.
·
Understanding
