Job Description

As a Supplier Quality Engineer at Volvo Group India, you will be responsible for:

· Managing Supply Network Partners: Handle a portfolio of electromechanics and electronics supply network partners, ensuring the complete quality of parts.

· Early Supplier Involvement: Engage early in the supply network partner selection process.

· APQP Management: Ensure Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is performed according to project timing, mitigating risks.

· PPAP and Tooling Approval: Verify and lead all APQP deliverables and approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions and tooling.

· Capacity and Ramp-Up Planning: Secure the capacity and ramp-up plan and implement firewall/pre-launch controls to ensure a smooth Start of Production (SOP) launch.

· Quality Concerns Management: Address quality concerns raised by Volvo plants with quick containment, securing corrective and preventive actions.

· Transformation Activities: Lead transformation activities on sustainability and digitalization within Supplier Network Quality (SNQ).

· Continuous Improvement: Lead the evaluation and continuous improvement of supply network partners.

Requirements

· Educational Qualification: University degree in Electrical and Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.

· Experience: Experience in supplier quality, preferably from an automotive background.

· Technical Knowledge:

o Strong technical knowledge and manufacturing know-how in electronics and electromechanical components.

o Experience in software development or as an ASPICE assessor is an added advantage.

· Skills:

o Continuous improvement, problem-solving, and solution-oriented mindset.

o Ability to work and deliver results independently.

o Strong networking and collaboration skills.

o Excellent communication and analytical skills.
