Responsibilities of the Candidate

As an Associate Engineer at Eaton, you will:

· Project Execution: Be responsible for the successful execution of Aerospace Ducting projects, designing and developing Ducting Products to meet customer-specific technical, cost, and market-related technology requirements, including safety, reliability, and conformance to standards.

· Collaboration: Work with experienced engineers, providing follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems.

· Reporting: Assist in preparing reports, graphs, planning layouts, and summaries to communicate project progress or results.

· Team Participation: Participate as a team member, help define/refine methods, and actively contribute towards team goals, following technical documentation requirements and engineering processes, risk management, detail design & analysis.

· Product Design and Development: Execute and support New Product Design and Development through Eaton PROLaunch / PreLaunch/ACES Engineering processes, B&Ps.

· 3D Modeling: Create 3D models (solid modeling, sheet metal, tubing/piping, etc.), drawings, reports, ECRs/ECOs, and BOMs, Tooling designs, Test fixture designs, Test plans, and Test reports for new product designs and modification of existing drawings and models.

· Design Reviews: Coordinate design reviews through the release process.

· Documentation: Create Aerospace Product Testing/Qualification documentation as per Aerospace Industry standards DO-160 such as QP, QTP, QSR, QTR, ATP.

· Engineering Principles: Apply basic knowledge of engineering principles, failure theories, mechanical design standards, and practices to assigned tasks.

Requirements

· Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

· Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in design, development, and validation of mechanical couplings & joints, mechanical components, Tubing or Ducting Products.

· Skills:

o Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, 3D modeling tools, DFSS, Analytical Thinking.

o Basic knowledge of GD&T, fits, tolerance, materials, and manufacturing processes to achieve intended product form and functions.

o Foundational level of Problem Solving, Dfx, Process Management (LEAN, PLM, DMAIC), Innovation skills, and Digital tools/languages.

o Drive for Results, Analysis-First and Digital Mindset, Organizational Savvy, Strong Communication, and Influencing skills, Process Management.

· Communication: Manage internal customer expectations and contractual commitments, communicate effectively globally and at all organizational levels.

· Design Standards: Sustain processes for design standards and procedures governing product design methods, documents, and data control for the associated business group.

· Learning Agility: Ability to understand and assimilate varied technologies and product knowledge.
