Job Overview
ABB Group is seeking talented fresh graduates to join their team as an
Engineer - MV Drives. This role involves working closely with customers, consultants,
and vendors to ensure the efficient design, development, and testing of
medium-voltage drive systems.
Responsibilities
As an Engineer - MV Drives, your key responsibilities will include:
·
Customer Interaction: Participate in discussions
with customers/consultants to approve drawings and inspections at the factory.
·
Documentation: Ensure timely generation of engineering drawings
with a first pass yield above 95%.
·
Vendor Coordination: Work closely with vendors of drive
system components to manage and coordinate engineering documentation.
·
Localization Efforts: Contribute to the localization
of product components to enhance supply chain efficiency.
·
Special Testing: Engage in special testing requirements at other ABB
factories or customer sites.
·
Component Specification: Evaluate and specify
components for packaging projects, including transformers, motors, switchgear
panels, UPS, PLC panels, and cables.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
·
Educational Qualification:
o
A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
·
Safety Practices:
o
Familiarity with and practice of all safety
requirements, including procedures, PPE, hazard reporting, and other safety
practices.
·
Technical Skills:
o
Experience with the engineering/testing of variable
speed drives, and associated IEC/IS standards, as well as hardware and software
dimensioning tools.
o
Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of
switchgear, PLCs, motors, and transformers.
·
Tools Knowledge:
o
Familiarity with SAP and CAD tools like Eplan/ACAD
Electrical.
