Job Description
Job Title: IT Service Desk
The IT Service Desk at Cognizant is a centralized team providing
technical support to clients, including troubleshooting IT issues and ensuring
smooth functioning of computer systems and IT services. With 15,000 strong
service desk team members supporting 90 global clients across different
continents, the landscape of IT Service Desk has transformed significantly due
to technological advancements. Today, organizations leverage AI chatbots to
automate and streamline support processes, providing instant responses to
common user queries and handling simple tasks, thereby reducing the workload on
human analysts. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is also gaining traction,
automating repetitive and rule-based tasks to free up analysts' time for more
complex issues.
Location: Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata.
Candidates must be flexible to relocate to any of these locations as per
business requirements and demands.
Eligibility:

2022 & 2023 batch of any 3-year Graduation
program (UG full-time degree).
·
Candidates having 50% in X, XII, Diploma, or UG.
·
Open to Indian nationals only.
·
Flexible to any work locations, shift timings, and
technology.
·
The final Cognizant onboarding would be subject to
satisfactory background verification.
·
Ensure both first name and last name are updated in
the PAN card. Background verification will not be successful if the last name
is not updated or if the PAN card name and the superset registered name do not
match. If PAN card is not available, do not proceed with the application
registration.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide first-line technical support and assistance
to end-users, addressing their IT-related issues and inquiries.
·
Log and track all support tickets, ensuring accurate
documentation and timely resolution of problems.
·
Troubleshoot hardware and software problems,
performing diagnoses and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime.

Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate complex
issues and ensure prompt resolution.

Maintain knowledge base articles and documentation
to enhance self-service options and facilitate efficient problem-solving.

Work in shifts and from the office.
