Job Summary

As a seasoned professional in Test and Validation, the Lead Engineer will independently measure, analyze, and calibrate equipment on medium to large platforms/projects/systems. The role involves training lower-level team members, preparing equipment for complex testing, and overseeing the preparation of equipment for smaller to medium platforms/projects/systems.

Role Description:

· Work as part of a team to perform Verification and Validation Automation of NPD & Sustenance products.

· Automate end-to-end software applications that interact with hardware of Fire domain products.

· Deliver high-quality products.

· Develop test cases based on requirements and create test plan documents.

· Achieve 100% automation of test cases with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD).

Job Responsibilities:

· Support the design, development, and quality delivery of software applications, including mobile apps that interact with hardware for Fire domain products.

· Write and execute test cases that conform to technical and functional specifications.

· Design automation strategies for tests and develop automation frameworks and scripts.

· Automate test cases using programming knowledge according to the test strategy.

· Adhere to test frameworks and standards, ensuring the reusability of test scripts.

· Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test cases for Fire domain product enhancements.

· Gain and apply knowledge of processes and tools used by the Test engineering team.

· Document and present test results in accordance with QA policies and procedures.

· Participate in brainstorming sessions to resolve complex technical/architectural issues.

· Provide QA guidance and technical support to the product development team.

· Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools.

· Actively participate in knowledge transfer.

· Contribute ideas on product and process improvements.

· Participate in design review sessions.

· Be flexible in performing manual testing and automation based on business needs.

· Learn and implement appropriate automation technologies to meet the company’s goals.

· Own and drive automation end-to-end.

Basic Qualifications & Experience:

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics).

Skills Required:

· Strong automation background in web automation using Selenium WebDriver with C#.

· Experience in automating Windows-based applications (WPF MVVM) using Coded UI, White, or FLAUI.

· Knowledge of mobile apps automation using Xamarin or Appium is a plus.

· Strong understanding of Software Engineering and Product Quality Concepts.

· Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and bug life cycle.

· Strong analytical skills.

· Proficient programming skills for automation, preferably in .NET C#.

· Exposure to Fire domain products and technologies is advantageous.

· Experience with automation tools like QTP or open-source tools.

· Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Jira and HP-ALM.

· Understanding of Windows OS and databases.

· Experience with performance testing using tools like J-Meter.
