The Role: Data Centre Operation Technician

As a DCO Technician at ADSIPL, you will be part of a dynamic Operations team responsible for maintaining and upkeeping Amazon's data center infrastructure. Your primary tasks will include server rack installation, hardware troubleshooting, and responding to network issues. You'll also be the primary contact for internal customers and external service partners, ensuring operational stability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

· Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensure the upkeep of data center infrastructure.

· Server Rack Installation: Install and maintain server racks.

· Hardware Troubleshooting: Fix issues with various hardware components.

· Network Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve network problems.

· Customer and Partner Interaction: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

· SLAs Management: Manage trouble tickets and ensure timely resolution.

· On-call Duties: Participate in 24x7 shift rotations and handle scheduled maintenance.

· Team Collaboration: Participate in meetings to discuss goals and metrics.

· Documentation: Contribute to root cause analysis and process improvement documentation.

· Training: Assist in training less experienced team members.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 18kg.

Basic Qualifications:

· BE/B.Tech graduates in IT/IS/ECE/Electronics & Telecommunications.

· Solid understanding of Linux/Unix Administration.

· Experience with server hardware troubleshooting.

· Knowledge of server booting processes (POST, BIOS, PXE, etc.).

· Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet, L2/L3 technologies).

· Experience with network hardware (copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers).

· Strong communication skills.

· Passion for IT infrastructure and hardware.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with remote access (console routers, IPMI, BMC).

· Knowledge of network equipment installation and configuration.

· Familiarity with Cisco IOS, NX-OS, JunOS.

· Understanding of redundancy (power feeds, ATS, server hardware, RAID, network connectivity).

· Experience with data center operations (inventory management, hot/cold aisles, security).

· Project management participation.

· Knowledge of AWS products (EC2, EBS, S3, etc.).

· Scripting skills (Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby).
