Key Responsibilities

Internships at Sony Research India (SRI) provide students with industry exposure and production-level project experience. As a Data Science Intern, your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the growth and development of innovative technologies at SRI. During the internship, you will work closely with research scientists and other team members on various development tasks in recommendation systems using Multi-Armed Bandits. You’ll be expected to actively work on AI development activities, including training, testing, fixing bugs, and other routines for building robust models.

Must-Have Skills

· Programming Experience: Strong knowledge and relevant programming experience with Python, PyTorch, and other ML and DL libraries.

· Recommendation Systems: Prior experience developing state-of-the-art recommendation models for commercial or research purposes.

· Multi-Armed Bandits: Knowledge of applying and working with Multi-Armed Bandits to solve real-world problems.

Good to Have Skills

· Research Capabilities: Demonstrated research capabilities through a relevant publication record in top-tier Machine Learning conferences.

Internship Details

· Duration: The internship will start in the second week of July 2024 and will last for 6 months.

· Working Hours: Full-time, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday).

Requirements

· Education: Candidates must be pursuing or have completed a BTech/MS/MSc/MTech/PhD degree.

· Experience: Only candidates with working experience in recommendation systems and Multi-Armed Bandits, along with strong proof-of-concept (POC) development skills with PyTorch and Python, will be considered.
