Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

As a Graduate Apprentice Trainee at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will be involved in various critical functions that ensure the smooth running and quality assurance of manufacturing processes. Here are the primary responsibilities and key deliverables:

1. Quality Assurance:

o Build quality in processes through PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis), mistake-proofing, SPC (Statistical Process Control), CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), etc., for FTR (First Time Right), ETR (End-to-End Response), and DCE (Design for Customer Experience).

o Resolve critical and chronic quality issues.

2. Process Planning:

o Plan processes for changes in existing products (including CRE - Customer Required Engineering) and support the production of new products.

3. Capex Budgeting:

o Improve PQCDS (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety) by replacing or adding equipment with appropriate technology.

o Monitor and control the implementation of planned Capex from need justification till commissioning of equipment and MOP (Manufacturing Operating Procedure) achievement.

4. Productivity Improvement:

o Optimize manpower and enhance capacity.

o Implement lean manufacturing practices to reduce lead time and improve Value Added Ratio (VAR).

o Implement TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives.

o Promote innovations, continuous improvement, and problem-solving.

5. Total Quality Management (TQM):

o Ensure adherence to and improvement in quality systems such as PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), process mapping and process flow, control plan, SOP (Standard Operating Procedure), etc.

o Drive cost savings through improvement projects.
