How Will You Make an Impact?

As an Intern at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll be an integral part of a team committed to recombinant antibody development, focusing on primary and secondary antibody development/validation. You'll collaborate with the cell culture team to optimize siRNA transfection protocols in primary cell lines.

A Day in the Life:

Conduct cell culture activities and laboratory techniques, including aseptic handling and expanding primary cells and immortal cell lines.
Plan and execute scientific research with an emphasis on cell culture techniques.
Regularly analyze cell culture samples, involving microscopy, cell counting, Mycoplasma testing, QPCR, Western blot, ELISA, and related tests.
Utilize automation to enhance process throughput.
Maintain and calibrate assigned equipment and document related activities.

Keys to Success:
Education

M.Sc/B.Tech/M.Tech

Experience

Theoretical knowledge of cell culture basics, such as microscopic observation, cell counting, media preparation, and aseptic handling.
Strong understanding and hands-on expertise in culture techniques, especially with cancer cell lines. Additional experience in protein biology, molecular biology, or related disciplines is a plus.
Experience with primary and/or stem cell work is an added advantage.

Ability to work effectively in a team.
Excellent record-keeping and high organizational skills; maintaining a neat and tidy lab space.
Self-motivated individual actively seeking new challenges.
Quick learner, capable of rapidly adopting new technologies and concepts for lab needs.
