Responsibilities of the Candidates:

Designing, Coding, and Testing: As an Associate Software Engineer, you will be involved in designing, coding, enhancing, and testing financial software applications. These applications play a vital role in meeting business process requirements in MIS Tech, primarily using the Java/J2EE-related tech stack.
Problem Solving: Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical skills in designing and developing solutions for various business requirements.
Feature Development: Contribute to ongoing feature development of web applications based on a service-oriented architecture. This involves working on the user interface, services, and databases.
Collaboration: Work closely with the development team leads and architects to define the technical and architectural direction of projects. Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and QA analysts, both in-house and vendor-based.
Evaluation of Requirements: Evaluate functional requirements for new requests and translate them into meaningful design and development tasks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional, globally dispersed development teams to support development efforts and meet business requirements.
Documentation: Complete documentation and procedures for the installation and maintenance of software applications.
Reviews and Collaboration: Participate in design, architecture, and code reviews. Be part of a collaborative development environment that fosters innovation.
Agile Development: Work in an Agile environment and track progress towards key deliverables.
Production Support: Provide production support for applications by assisting the team in resolving production incidents.

Requirements:

Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
Experience: 0-3 years of software development experience.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience in design, development, testing, and operational support of Java, J2EE, JMS, SOAP/REST, SQL, JSON, and XML based applications.
Design and Development: A good understanding of object-oriented design and development.
Service-Oriented Architecture: Experience in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) with a solid grasp of web services, including REST and SOAP.
Frameworks: Experience with Java-based frameworks such as JPA, Springboot, Spring, Hibernate, etc.
Microservices: Familiarity with Microservices and design patterns.
Agile Scrum: Experience with Agile Scrum, while displaying familiarity/experience with other SDLC approaches.
Database Knowledge: Good SQL and database knowledge.
IDE Tools: Experience with IDE tools like JBOSS Studio, Eclipse, or similar.
Tools and Platforms: Knowledge of build/dependency management tools such as Maven and SCM tools like Subversion, Bit Bucket, GitHub, etc.
Containerization: Experience in application containerization and familiarity with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Platform9, ECS, EKS, Openshift, and Cloud Foundry.
Cloud Exposure: Exposure to any cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and their services (or equivalent ones) like API Gateway, IAM, S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, EKS, ECS, Kafka, and more.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must for effective collaboration within the team.
