Your Way to Impact

As a Software Engineering Intern at PayPal, you will work alongside some of the brightest engineering minds in the industry. We offer opportunities in various domains, including development, design, search, platform, testing, quality assurance, big data, front-end, and back-end. As a core member of your team, your responsibilities will include estimating engineering efforts, designing changes, implementing and testing those changes, deploying to production, and handling production issues. We seek dynamic, collaborative, and inquisitive individuals as we create new experiences, enhance existing products, and develop distributed systems that power some of the world's largest e-commerce and payments websites, operating at a scale that only a few companies can match.

Your Day-to-Day

Code high-volume and scalable software, focusing on either front-end or back-end development. This may involve creating web applications using React/Node, building back-end services using Java, SQL, ReST, and developing new user-facing experiences.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in design, product, and other business units.

What You Need to Bring

Strong applied experience: You have built, broken, and rebuilt software applications. We are looking for creative thinkers who can turn ideas into real-world products.
Working knowledge of web technologies, including HTTP, HTML/DOM, JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX.
Familiarity with one or more of the following: Node.js applications, Java, C++, Python.
Understanding of concepts like Web Services, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and REST APIs.
A constant desire to grow, learn, and explore new technologies and ideas.

University Graduate Position Information and Requirements

This is a university intern position, and you must be graduating in 2025 with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
