ABB Fresher Recruitment 2023: The Role

As an Associate Project Engineer, you will be a vital part of our Process Automation business in the Energy Industries division. Based in Bangalore, India, you will report to the Engineering Manager and work closely with senior engineers on projects of various sizes and complexities. Your primary responsibilities include:

Document Management: Collecting and maintaining input documents from customers and ensuring proper organization according to Document Control Index (DCI).
Quality Assurance: Supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and resolving punch points before material dispatch.
Technical Checks: Verifying Bill of Material on-site, conducting power-on procedures as per SAT (Site Acceptance Test) guidelines, and completing power-on checklists.
Project Completion: Closing punch points, providing input to the hardware team for preparing as-built documents, and coordinating with customers for site activities.
Engineering Support: Developing graphics as per P and ID's, logic development based on customer documents, and preparing IO (Input/Output) lists.
Customer Coordination: Collaborating with customers for site and commissioning activities, conducting SAT at the customer's site, and ensuring compliance with ABB Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in industries such as instrumentation, oil and gas, advanced blending controls, or paint.
Hands-on Expertise: Practical experience in Engineering and Commissioning within the Industrial or Process Automation sector.
Product Knowledge: Exposure to products like Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
