About the Role - You Will:

Work full-time on projects at Pune, assisting Seagate Research Architect/leads in cutting-edge research in storage technologies.
Investigate emerging technologies in storing data efficiently, including data from AI/ML/mobility/automotive.
Potentially explore new mechanisms in electronic hardware modeling and prototyping using upcoming technologies like computational storage securely.
Contribute to the development of architecture towards building proofs of concepts with the help of senior engineers.
Research/investigate emerging storage technologies, data creation models, and storage security.
Document current and future storage architectures for different applications.
Develop RTL primarily targeted at FPGA platforms for electronics subsystems.
Support the development of new features, functionality, and customer issues.
Perform operational tests and fault isolation on electronic sub-systems and equipment.
Contribute to RTL development, bug fixing, and improvement of Storage-based products.
Collaborate with subject matter experts at all Seagate (worldwide) sites.
Create internal and external research papers and work with affiliated schools for applications in the storage industry.

About You:

Creative, independent, and a self-starter with excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
Authorized to work in India while pursuing education.
Hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of engineers.
Demonstrated ability to study a functional area in depth.
Ability to present to colleagues and partners.

Your Experience Includes:

Good in RTL, debugging, and working knowledge of Unix-based Operating Systems.
Exposure to C and C++ programming as well as scripting languages (shell script and/or perl).
Experience in System design. Strong exposure to FPGAs and relevant RTL to FPGA netlist flow.
Knowledge of processor architecture (ARM, RISC-V) is a plus.
