About NITI Aayog

NITI Aayog, a government organization, is dedicated to becoming a cutting-edge resource center equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to act swiftly, drive research and innovation, provide strategic policy vision for the government, and tackle unforeseen challenges. NITI Aayog works in collaboration with several affiliated entities, including the Development Monitoring and Evaluation Organisation (DMEO), the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), and the National Institute of Labour Economics Research and Development (NILERD).

Eligibility Criteria for the Internship Program

To be eligible for the NITI Aayog Summer Internship Program, students must meet the following conditions:

Undergraduate students who have completed or appeared in the term-end exams of the second year or fourth semester of their bachelor's degree course, with a minimum of 85% or equivalent marks in the 12th class.
Graduate students who have completed or appeared in the term-end exams of the first year or second semester of their post-graduate program, or are pursuing research/Ph.D., with a minimum of 70% or equivalent marks in their graduation.
Students who have recently completed their graduation/post-graduation and are awaiting admission to higher studies, provided they have secured 70% or more cumulative marks in all the years/semesters of their undergraduate/postgraduate program until the date of application.
The gap between the declaration of the final exam results and the desired month of the internship should not exceed 6 months. For example, if the result is declared in June, the applicant can apply for an internship starting in December.

Duration of the Internship

The internship program at NITI Aayog lasts for a minimum of 6 weeks and can extend up to 6 months. It is important for interns to complete the full duration of the internship to receive a certificate of completion.

Experience Certificate

Upon successful completion of the internship, interns will be awarded a certificate issued by the Adviser of the concerned Subject Division, acknowledging their valuable contribution and participation.
