Job Description
As a Graduate Engineer Trainee

engineering knowledge in product validation and testing. Your main focus will
be on testing software applications and hardware systems from various

Patch Testing
In this role, you will be
involved in patch testing activities, which include:
- System Deviation Report (SDR) testing for
Ovation/Ovation Add-On patches.
- Monthly patch and weekly AV installation on
Ovation test beds.
- Performing Ovation basic functionality testing.
- Creation and deployment of Operating System
Deployment (OSD) images.
- Filling of bulletin files for periodic
activities.
System Installation
You will also be responsible
for system installation tasks, which involve:
- Installation of Windows OS, drivers, and Microsoft
patches for the Engineering Workstation.
- Configuration of DCS setup, including hardware
such as controllers and basic I/O modules.
- Software installation and configuration of
Ovation (Engineering Workstation, Base Station) and its add-ons, such as
Ovation Process Historian (OPH), OPC, and Anti-Virus.
- Knowledge of scripting languages to automate
installation and configuration processes.
Additional Responsibilities
As a Graduate Engineer Trainee,
you will have additional responsibilities, including:
- Participation in lab activities, such as lab
maintenance, controller wall mounting, and hardware maintenance.
- Developing knowledge and expertise in DCS
(Distributed Control Systems) and other Emerson products like Ovation,
OPH, OPC, ELC, APC, OSC, AV, and TPNF.
- Referring to technical guides from crossroads
during project execution for guidance and best practices.
- Continuous development of skills related to DCS
product components.
- Enhancing test procedures for executed
assignments as required.
- Testing Ovation releases and add-ons by
