Want to work in an inclusive, supportive environment where you can freely voice your ideas and opinions?

ThoughtWorks India is looking for talented infra consultants passionate about building and deploying large-scale solutions in the cloud.

Our developers have been contributing code to major organizations and open source projects for over 25 years now. They’ve also been writing books, speaking at conferences, and helping push software development forward -- changing companies and even industries along the way. As Consultants, we work with our clients to ensure we’re delivering the best possible solution. Infra consultants play a key role in meeting clients’ infrastructure requirements by deploying cloud solutions, building infrastructure for platforms, DevOps engineering, etc.

Our entry-level consultants jumpstart their careers with an immersive six-week entry-level program designed to prepare entry-level hires, the transition from academia (or a non-technical background) to a professional tech consulting environment. The program team works closely with attendees throughout the cultivation and integration phases during the joiner’s first year at Thoughtworks.

You will be Responsible For:

  • Setting up Infrastructure to launch new projects from scratch and improve existing Infrastructure that keeps Projects performing to the highest degree.
  • Implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery solutions for Application teams to help them deliver their solutions quickly with high quality to the market.
  • Setup surveillance systems that monitor vital signs and performance statistics of software platforms in the real world and send alerts in real-time as issues happen.
  • Ensuring Security and Protection of infrastructure by deploying threat and vulnerability identification and mitigation solutions.

Here’s what we are looking for:

  • Hands-on experience with Linux Operating Systems and OS concepts. e.g. Processes, File systems, Access control, Installing and configuring Linux OS etc.
  • Understanding of containers as a substitute for operating systems and a container manager like Docker or Rocket.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts e.g. DNS, Network Topologies, Routing Tables, Firewalls etc.
  • Knowledge of computers and network hardware devices. e.g. Servers, Virtual Machines, Routers, Thin Clients, Various Storage Devices etc.
  • Experience in scripting to automate repeated tasks with a language of your choice. Bash / Python is preferable.
  • Experience with infrastructure configuration tools like Ansible, Terraform, Vagrant etc.
  • Experience with hosting simple websites using web servers such as Nginx / Apache with a storage backend in any SQL or NoSQL-based Databases.
  • Web Programming experience with languages such as JAVA, C++, C#, Ruby, etc. Anyone or two are great.
  • Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills. And last but not the least, we are looking for curious minds who have the drive to find answers for tech problems on their own using all resources available to them like the internet or books even in absence of a guide. Self-learning, self-exploration and a healthy attitude towards learning are virtues we value immensely. So if that sounds like you, you will love working at ThoughtWorks.
