Job Overview
Qualcomm's Power Management Systems Validation team leads the industry in the
system architecture and Validation of high-performance Power Management
Integrated Circuits (PMICs) and Power Management Units (PMUs) embedded in our
chipsets for smartphones, tablets, notebooks, and a variety of cutting-edge
consumer electronics.
We are looking for Systems Validation & Integration engineering
professionals with preferably 1-3 years of experience in Switched Mode
and Linear Power supply segments, which spans to High Freq Bucks, Boost,
Buck-Boost, LDO of varying architectures. These converters being used to power
Chipset and other peripheral of Smartphones. So good knowledge of Li ion
battery operated computing platform Power supplies system is a Must. Good
knowledge of Passive component selection for all above power converters.
Very good knowledge of Passive component physics. Battery chargers. Li ion
battery charger system typically consist of switch mode power supplies, DC-DC
converters, linear voltage regulators (LDOs), ADCs, USB-IF standards related to
charging, BC1.2 and PD. Depending on your experience level and area of
technical expertise you will participate in validation of wireless and wired Li
ion battery charging while partnering with other Qualcomm engineering teams
like Digital, RF and Mixed-Signal, Software and Customers in a fast-paced
environment.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical /Electronics & Communication Engineering
(Or) Master’s degree in Power Electronics/ Embedded Systems, or related field
with 0-1 year Hardware Engineering experience or related work experience.
We are looking for Bench level validation engineering professionals at all
levels of experience These IPs consist of switch-mode power supplies and linear
voltage regulators for a variety of core, peripheral and charging applications,
low noise clocks, ADCs, PON and Reset hardware/firmware.
· Use existing SW and HW to script programs
that test/verify the functionality of very complex analog and mixed-signal power
systems with concurrency scenarios using both local and phone level platforms.
· Work with common lab equipment such as power
supplies, oscilloscopes, signal source analyzers, spectrum analyzers, logic
analyzers, JTAG debugger, frequency counters, etc.
Able to Automate new HW, Code new System test case.
· Knowledge in power, mixed-signal, or analog
PCB design and debug including CAD interface.
Specific experience in high current monolithic DC-DC converters and switch mode
battery chargers, low noise clocks, ADCs, PON and Reset hardware/firmware is
preferred. Strong lab skills are a must.
