We are currently looking
for an ingenious R&D Electrical Engineer to join our R&D Electrical
team within the R&D Components department. The role will revolve around the
electrical design and peripherals of battery-based systems. As an R&D
Electrical Engineer, you will be mainly involved in designing, simulating,
sizing, and evaluating the proper electrical infrastructure for Lithium-based
batteries and Energy Storage Systems (ESS). This will be performed on
component, as well as on system level, to ensure that the designed electrical
infrastructure meets the highest standards, from a performance and safety
perspective. Furthermore, you will be performing studies on the electrical
connectivity of battery modules and battery packs to associated systems, e.g. vehicles
or ESS for residential, grid, or renewable applications. The identification and
selection of necessary electrical components to support the company’s
production line will be a constant priority. This role will provide the right
candidate with excellent growth potential.

Key responsibilities
- Electrical design of Lithium-based battery
components and systems;
- Studies in electrical simulation tools to
evaluate the real-time behaviour and interaction between the batteries and
the systems they are connected to (vehicles, grid etc.);
- Thermal investigation of components under
different modes of electrical operation;
- Identification and selection of desired
electrical components from international vendors;
- Clear and proper documentation of completed
tasks.
Job requirements
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering (MSc);
- At least 2 years of experience in Energy
Storage Systems design and implementation;
- Design and implementation of battery energy storage
systems;
- 3D CAD tools e.g. SolidWorks, CATIA;
- Knowledge on AC/DC and DC/DC converters;
- Electrical design for low voltage and grid
applications;
- Understanding of IEEE/IEC/UL standards;
- Matlab/Simulink;
- Electrical simulation tools e.g. PSpice, PLECS,
Simscape or PSCAD;
- Knowledge of thermal simulation tools is a
bonus;
- Fluency in Greek & English (both verbal
& written) is a must;
- EU permit and fulfilled military obligations –
where applicable.
