Your Tasks

  • Analog and mixed signal electronic circuit design for signal acquisition
  • Design and layout of electronics systems and devices, including schematic design, selection of components, PCB layout and generation of parts lists according to IPC and ECSS standards
  • Simulation of electronic circuits for worst case, derating and signal integrity analysis
  • Create detailed cable harness drawings and assembly documentation
  • Assembly/manufacturing of PCBs, harnesses, electronic devices (mostly prototypes/single products)
  • Co-engineering with other disciplines e.g. mechanical design, system engineering, manufacturing
  • Evaluation and debugging of embedded systems and applications by designing and conducting test programs; applying knowledge of power electronics (e.g. motor controllers)
  • Assuring product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities
  • Design verification and writing of verification plans and test procedures
  • Planning and conduction of test campaigns
  • Preparing accurate and detailed reports on designs and systems

Your Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Electronics Engineering or similar discipline
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in design, development and evaluation of electronic units, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably for satellites
  • 1-3 years of experience in analogue, mixed signal and digital electronics circuit design and PCB layout (EAGLE, Altium or similar)
  • In depth knowledge and experience in the application of relevant standards (ECSS/MIL)
  • Experience in defining and conducting electrical and functional tests
  • Good knowledge of programming language suitable to control automated test set-ups: Lab-VIEW, Python, C/C++.
  • Experience with electronic manufacturing methods like soldering, crimping etc.
  • Experience with EMC compatible design and knowledge of EMC test methods.
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g. LTspice, Modelica).
  • Good self-direction and the ability to prioritize and make decisions
  • Excellent communication skills, good oral and written language skills in German and English
