Job Description:
Drive the automotive macro
trends of electrification, safety automation and connectivity to the next
generation of solutions. With so many new features added almost every day, we
need experts to globally implement and maintain the Standards. To be part of
our COE (Centre Of Expertise) team in Braga, Portugal, we are currently looking
for an SMT MTT Development Engineer (Surface Mount Technology Manufacturing
Technology Team) to work closely with all ten sites around the world,
specifically on the SMT Process.

Your Role:
- Understand customer requirements and technical
specifications;
- Analyze technical innovations and evaluate
application on APTIV products;
- Active support and cooperate with Global Manufacturing
Engineers and Operation’s site engineers;
- Active participate in ADP (Advanced
Developments Projects) and projects meetings;
- Keep contact with Machine Suppliers regarding
project and technology roadmaps;
- Provide Technical Expertise in Process and/or
Material Deviations;
- Interact with global teams to provide technical
leadership to drive improvements and resolve issues;
- Active participate in SMT Machine Benchmarks,
projects meetings and Kaizen Events.
Your Background:
- Engineering Degree in Electronics,
Mechatronics, Engineering Physics, Materials Engineering, (MSc preferred)
Information Technologies and Informatic Systems;
- Knowledge of SMT Process;
- Black Belt (MSc preferred) or Green Belt
certified;
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills;
- Knowledge about layout design rules and stencil
apertures;
- Good English skills (both spoken and written);
- Willingness to travel.
