Faculty Position in Computer Science
(Artificial Intelligence for Business and Management) in Canada
SKEMA Canada, a research and resource center
specialized in Artificial Intelligence created recently by SKEMA Business
School (skema.edu) in
Montreal, Canada, invites applicants for one or more positions at the rank of
Assistant or Associate Professor. We are searching for candidates with a PhD in
Artificial Intelligence, applied mathematics, business analytics, computer
science, engineering, or machine learning, and with research interests in areas
within the usual business specializations such as finance, marketing or
strategy. The candidate should also exhibit excellent teaching skills and,
ideally, have a good record in advising students. We are particularly
interested in candidates who have published extensively in high-quality
conferences or journals and maintains an active research agenda.
The positions are permanent with a full-time
tenure-track contract. Salaries and conditions will be competitive, in line
with international standards. SKEMA Canada offers publication bonuses for
peer-reviewed publications. The expected start date is September 2022, or any
time earlier if available.
The position is in Montreal, but the candidate
should expect to teach courses in any one of the SKEMA campuses (Brazil, China,
France, South Africa or USA) for designated periods of time. They could also
give seminars on site to visiting students from other campuses. Online courses
are also a viable option. The candidate will also have some responsibilities
regarding the scientific development of applications by the developers’ team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- A
Ph.D. in machine learning, artificial intelligence, applied mathematics,
business analytics, computer science, software/computer engineering, or a
related field.
- Strong
evidence of recent research productivity and teaching excellence in
Machine Learning or related fields, including evidence of conference
presentations, high quality peer-reviewed research publications, exemplary
teaching ratings, and awards.
- Ability
to work as part of a team in a collegial environment.
- Strong
oral and written communication skills.
- Commitment
to service and/or outreach activities.
JOB EXPECTATIONS
- Publish
peer-reviewed publications in relevant top journals (according to the
SKEMA journal ranking list)
- Teach
at different levels in AI for business and management in all SKEMA
campuses

students at different levels (undergraduate, master and PhD)
