Role Summary/Purpose
|
Entry level position for those who demonstrate command of
one or more programming languages, program design and specification
development, program logic and flow-charting, testing, debugging,
documentation standards, application analysis of various business solutions.
Works within the framework of established operating procedures to implement
new or updated technologies to the operating system platforms of the
business; Provides troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.

Essential Responsibilities
|
Analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems, and
devises computer programs, systems and related procedures to process data.
Prepares charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis, and submits
recommendations for solution. Prepares program specifications and diagrams
and develops coding logic flowcharts. Encodes, tests, debugs, and installs
the operating programs and procedures in coordination with the computer
operations and user departments.

Qualifications/Requirements
|
Typically requires B.S. Degree (Computer Science) or
equivalent. Under general supervision, plans, conducts and supervises
assignments, generally involving the smaller or less important projects.
Reviews progress and evaluates results. Recommends changes in procedures.
Operates with appreciable latitude for unreviewed action or decision.

Desired Characteristics
|
Superior oral, written and interpersonal communications
skills. Ability to effectively manage client/user relationships. Working
knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle Database will be a definite advantage.
