ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Wears appropriate uniforms for the area, as supplied by the company. 
Greets and seats guest 
Remembers guest's names and addresses them by their surname. 
Takes and processes food and beverage orders 
Assists all associates to carry out the tasks according to the standard procedures. 
Serves Food and Beverage in a friendly and professional manner. 
Farewells the guest 
Obtains feedback from guests regularly. Records the guest feedback 
Maintains a comprehensive set of guest history records. 
Provides Advice on menu 
   Discusses menu items and advises guests on menu selection. 
    Explains the menu items to guests when necessary. 
   Makes arrangements for guests with special needs. 
   Coordinates with the kitchen/production.  
Assists in beverage service.  
   Recommends and sells drinks to guests.   
   Takes drink orders.  
    Prepares and uses coffee making machine. 
   Explains the types and styles of wine. 
   Advises guests on their wine choice. 
   Promotes and sells cocktails to guests.
Prepares for Functions and Service 
Prepares room/ stations layout for function service. 
Assists in preparing Outlet for Service. 
Ensures that the work area is clean at all the times. 
Cleans outlet equipment. 
Keeps the reception area clean and tidy. 
Answers the phone as per the standard Phone answering procedures. 
Cleans the phone and maintain the phones in working order. 
Cares for the menu and drink list. 
Completes and maintains reservations. 
Prepares the table seating plan. 
Takes and records reservations. 
Records and passes information. 
Arranges special occasions. 
Ensures that all service standards are always followed. 
Behaves in a friendly and hospitable manner to all guests, customers and staffs. 
Performs all assigned duties efficiently, technically correct, follows Company policies, rules and regulations, requests of Superiors, adheres to procedures and achieve a high standard leading to total guest and Company satisfaction. 
Updates oneself and follow security/fire/safety procedures according to Company s rules and regulations. 
Attends departmental meeting and training when requested. 
Always be clean and properly dressed while on duty. Ensures at all times to have short and clean fingernails; have trimmed and clean haircut for men and moderate brushing for women and be aware of personal hygiene at all times.
Ensures no visible piercing other than regular female stud earrings to be seen whilst on duty. 
Performs other duties that may be assigned by immediate superiors from time to time


QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND ATTRIBUTES:

QUALIFICATIONS: 
 At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in a Hotel Food and Beverage environment an advantage but not required
 Fresh graduate may be accommodated 

EDUCATION: 
 A bachelor s degree
