The Product Quality Operations (PQO) team fights for the users. We defend The Product Quality Operations (PQO) team fights for the users. We defend Google's integrity by combating spam, fraud and abuse of our products. It's a constant game of cat-and-mouse to stay ahead of the bad guys and ensure that our advertisers, publishers and users have a safe and seamless experience. We work with Engineering to define, communicate and enforce policies across nearly all of Google's products in over 40 languages. PQO team members use their technical know-how and work across functions to develop innovative solutions that always put the user first.

The role: Application Developer

Google Enterprise helps companies the globe over be more productive, mobile and collaborative by "going Google." Google's Enterprise teams work with schools, companies and government agencies to make them more productive, mobile and collaborative by using Google cloud computing to get their work done. As an Enterprise Applications Engineer, you lead the development and implementation of web-based applications to new Google customers. You lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers, using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. Be part of helping businesses the world over succeed by getting Googley.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze potential abuse and fraud cases and trends and advocate changes to product and engineering groups
• Build real time systems to process large datasets in parallel on massive clusters
• Increase efficiency through automation, improved signals, workflow streamlining and system optimization
• Design, code and debug applications in various software languages.
• Front end graphical user interface design

Minimum qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science . In lieu of education, 2 years experience in software development.

Preferred qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or an MCA.
• Solid foundation in algorithms and data structures.
• Good experience in object-oriented programming with expertise in at least one of Python, C++, Java or Javascript.
• Hands on experience working in Linux environment.
• Strong knowledge of web programming.
• Knowledge of working with databases.
