Job Description
|
Part development/Sourcing -
Responsible to develop/source assigned components in accordance with the agreed requirements and design specification , under the guidance of Lead by following the defined organization standards and guidelines. Ensure that no implementation is carried out without the completion of design. Component development/sourcing should include suppliers capacity, technical capability, Process capability, Reliability requirements and component performance requirements & build options for future. Component development/sourcing should also include the life time availability, tooling development as per the peaking/life time requirement, landed cost, MOQ, SPQ, alternate source development & their approval through DAIR/FAIR process, component transit packing standards. Work Planning, monitoring & schedule reflecting truth: Provide inputs and support to Program Manager in the overall program planning to Track the progress on component development/availability. Feasibility studies from the suppliers, cost and estimation of development/sourcing efforts & duration due to changes in requirements so as to deliver the program as per agreed timelines. Design For Manufacturability Reviews: Responsible to ensure that the part developed/sourced supports manufacturability and meets product cost targets through alternate processes, materials, sources & improving manufacturability & meeting manufacturing cost target. (Technical, commercial and as applicable Support process) Responsible to ensure Process compliance (technical, commercial and as applicable Support processes) in your program works & other works. Defect free and First time right component development/sourcing : Responsible to develop/source defect free components and manufacturing processes at suppliers sites by Following guidelines/best practices, ensuring effective manufacturing process reviews and timely closure of reported defects. Participating and conducting reviews/walkthrough of required components so that the changes or modifications implemented are aligned with the requirements and design. Support in effective identification and implementation of corrective and preventive actions during program defect analysis so as to prevent similar failures in the future and ensure that designs delivered to external and internal customers are defect free. In short, deliver timely (as per baseline plan) and first time right design & implementation. Ensure that the data quality entered in Agile during the execution of program is as per the set standards Support for On-time Program Delivery Responsible to ensure effective program planning and monitoring by Providing timely inputs on the status of allocated part development tasks and ensure that schedule is reflecting the right situation by updating the efforts, status regularly and ensuring timely updating of timesheets Proactive identification and reporting of technical & commercial risks and issues affecting the business and program timelines and quality. |
